A dedicated resident of Macomb County
Dear Macomb County Residents: My name is Dwayne A. Haywood, and I'm asking for your vote in the race for Macomb Community College (MCC) Board of Trustees on the November 3 ballot. I've called Macomb County home for 25 years and watched it grow through steady, accountable, local leadership. I want to help keep this going this time as an advocate voice for the college that trains much of the county's future workforce.
Experience that delivers results
My specialization is managing large matrix organizations to deliver best-in-class results through enhanced technology and clear expectations to accomplish the life-changing mission of delivering quality benefits to Michigan residents. My candidacy is based on a fundamental belief that we should use all the tools at our disposal to deliver the best outcomes for the tax dollars spent to improve the conditions and lives of our residents.
Priorities for Macomb Community College
If elected I'll focus on three core priorities:
- Keeping MCC affordable, so cost never decides who gets to attend.
- Building real pathways between MCC and Macomb's small, medium and large employers, so a degree here leads directly to a job here.
- Evolving the college to embrace innovation and new technology, including AI, so students graduate day-one ready for jobs being created — not the ones being phased out.
"Dwayne A. Haywood's commitment to our community and his vision for Macomb Community College are truly inspiring. His experience will be invaluable."
